just some reminders i thought of:

1. Cards: those bringing cards, please know your call centre and what to do if you lose it (touch wood though), be aware of the service fee (S5.00 per use and the higher exchange rate (for example, in booking thalys, they used an exchange rate of 2.106 instead 2.07)), so spend carefully and be aware of credit limit.

2.Flights:those who booked, please check what we need to board, when and where to check in by.

Hostels:those who booked, please check that hostel knows we are coming, how to go there and how long it takes to airport/ train station.

those who used card to pay, please check whether you need to present the same card when you go over there as verification ( for example, thalys requires the same card used to be presented)

3. baggage limit: please note that the check-in baggage limit for the budget flights is 20kg, with the exception of ryanair which is 15kg (lowest) . hand carry is 10kg with dimensions of 55cm by 40cm by 20cm. some advice can be found at http://www.onebag.com/

4. embassy and emergency no.s as well as each others's contact details for our parents can be found in the file tripdetails.xls

5. language phraselist: could we have a phrase list for each language, i'll try to do a french one, eitherwise we might ggxx somewhere, please bring phrasebooks

6. final itinerary: to send to bernice who is compiling

7. FOOD- bring as much food as you can? because every food item brought over is money saved-i.e: peanut butter, nutella, instant noodles, cans of tuna. but not too overboard of cos.
